If this is your first blog/website and you just started your blogging career. After creating a blog everyone wants to show his/her site in Search Engines (especially Google). Here we’ll learn how to submit sitemap to Google?
We’re here to help you with just some simple steps. There are many articles on Google but they all about the old version of Google Search Console. Google recently updated its webmaster tool and they changed everything now.
The new version of the Google webmaster tool isn’t easy for new bloggers. But you can understand everything easily after reading the article. It is very simple and easy to use.
To show your all URLs (posts and pages) in Google search results you have to submit a sitemap of your blog to Google Search Console. This will help Google to find out your URLs, so they’ll index and show in results.
Before doing mastery in something you have to read the definition of that thing. If you are going to submit a sitemap of your blog to Google then first you must be known to the sitemap.
There’re two types of sitemaps. One of them is an HTML sitemap and another one is XML sitemap. They’ve huge difference in them.
HTML Sitemap is for users, the users who visit your blog/website. This sitemap helps them for better understanding. They’ll find out every article by following the HTML Sitemap.
But XML Sitemap is not for users. It helps Google to fetch and index your URLs. If you’ve submitted it then Google’s bots will check your site URLs and they’ll index them to show in search results.
In your XML, it is written that which URLs are to index and which URL is not to index. Because Google wants only articles and some important pages. So, it indexes only posts and some pages. Searches on blogs, labels, and other kinds of URLs like this will not be indexed.
Now we are going to submit a sitemap of your blog to Google search console.
Head to Search Console and on the left side of it, you’ll see the Sitemaps.
Just click on it and paste this URL in it. Keep in mind to replace the URL of your blog with it.
After pasting the Sitemap URL, click on “Submit” – you’ll get the pop that your sitemap is submitted successfully.
This was not so hard to do. But it was my duty to share a step by step guide to you. If your sitemap is successfully submitted then kindly comment on your opinion about the article. You can also comment if you are having any issues.
